PartnerSHIP for a Healthy Community was formed in 2005 as a nonprofit, community-based health improvement partner. Today, we work with the Pennsylvania Department of Health and other key resource partners to improve the health status of the Erie community and eliminate barriers to good health.
Since our inception, we have progressed from being an all-volunteer organization to hiring our first executive director in early 2008. Our current board of directors includes more than twenty health professionals from across Erie County.
PartnerSHIP for a Healthy Community is a catalyst for collaboration. We bring people together from all sectors of Erie County – health care, civic, business, and religious – to identify our greatest health care issues and direct our quality resources to cost-effectively meet the health care needs of our community.
We are leading the strategic direction for health care in Erie County.
